Improving Opportunities for Children and Youth
Kellogg Canada is committed to supporting the healthy development of children and youth.
We understand that consumers are concerned about childhood obesity. We take the issue very seriously and are committed to helping our consumers manage both sides of the calories in/calories out equation.
Kellogg Canada actively funds and partners with organizations, health agencies and various levels of government around the country to communicate the importance of a balanced diet and physical activity for young people. Below are other ways we help improve opportunities for children and youth.
Active Healthy Kids Canada
Since 2005, Kellogg Canada has supported Active Healthy Kids Canada initiatives and has sponsored their annual Report Card on Physical Activity for Children and Youth – a report designed to offer insight into how well the country provides physical activity opportunities for young people.
Children’s Miracle Network
In cooperation with some of our customers, we have raised money for the Children’s Miracle Network through various fundraising and brand causal related marketing initiatives.
Kids Help Phone
Kellogg Canada has been a sponsor of Kids Help Phone for more than a decade. We have supported various Kids Help Phone initiatives over the years, including the Bell Walk for Kids Help Phone and the Being There for Kids Dinner in 2008. The Kids Help Phone logo and toll-free number have also been featured on Kellogg's* cereal boxes and convenience food boxes.
Breakfast Clubs of Canada
We know that it’s especially important that children eat a nutritious breakfast. Scores of studies around the globe have consistently shown that kids who eat breakfast have more physical and mental energy than those who do not.
Through various fundraising initiatives with our customers and brand causal related marketing initiatives, Kellogg Canada has supported community-based breakfast programs for schoolchildren across Canada.
